Not surprising, then, that in the following year it seemed that every English band that could consider themselves in any way volume dealers – Savoy Brown, Ten Years After, John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers, Jethro Tull, Mott the Hoople, Joe Cocker and his Grease Band, Pink Floyd, Blodwyn Pig, Humble Pie, Black Sabbath, the Faces, yea, even Toe Fat – inserted their still-flat stomachs into their most preposterous loon pants and headed for America. Thanks to the example of Led Zeppelin they travelled with hope in their hearts and a dream in their trousers.
